Arriving at the clinic in Busan Seomyeon

Urogyn Men's Clinic is on the seventh floor of the Ion City Building at 74 Seomyeon-ro, Busanjin-gu — one minute on foot from Seomyeon Station Exit 7 on Lines 1 and 2, in the centre of Busan. You take the lift to 7F, give your name at the desk, and nothing about your concern is said aloud there; that conversation happens with the urologist in a closed room. The visit is in English from the first sentence, with no interpreter and no coordinator.

Before you arrive, the booking guide covers the message that sets up the visit, and the contact page has the map and a Korean-language address for a taxi driver. Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00–18:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00; a booked slot means you are expected, and the desk has your name and your reason in the record already.

The consultation room

You are taken to a consultation room and the urologist who replied to your message — Dr. Moon Hyeon-chang, Dr. Kim Tae-kyung or Dr. Kim Jin-seong — comes to you. There is no nurse triage step and no junior doctor first: the specialist you will be treated by is the one you meet. The room is closed, and the conversation is between the two of you unless you have brought someone you want present. What does the consultation cover?

The urologist starts from your message rather than from zero, so the first minutes are confirmation and detail: how long the problem has been present, what you have tried, what you are hoping for, any medication or history that matters. Then the honest part — what the likely explanations are, what would confirm them, and what the realistic options and outcomes look like, including the option of doing nothing. If your concern is one where photographs helped before the visit, the urologist has seen them; if not, this is where examination is offered. Nothing is decided in this conversation that you have not agreed to, and the why choose us page sets out the standard behind that.

Examination and same-hour tests at our Busan clinic

Examination, where needed, is done in the same room with the urologist alone. Many tests are also done in the same hour, because the clinic has them on site and on the price list: urine test ₩200,000, PSA ₩150,000, ultrasound ₩200,000 per area, erectile function (vascular) ultrasound ₩200,000, testosterone and hormone panel ₩150,000, the STD 13-panel ₩250,000, semen analysis ₩150,000 basic, and the ₩600,000 full prostate check-up that bundles testosterone, PSA, urine and ultrasound. Some results — ultrasound, urine — are available during the visit; blood and laboratory results follow by message. The urologist tells you which before ordering anything, and orders only what answers a specific question.

The plan and the price, in writing

Before you leave the room, you know three things: what the urologist thinks is going on, what he recommends and why, and what each recommended item costs from the published list. If a procedure is proposed, its price is stated — a fixed figure for standardised procedures like vasectomy at ₩800,000, or a “from” figure with the variable named for procedures like BPH surgery from ₩10,000,000. You are not asked to decide in the room; you are asked whether you have questions. The plan is confirmed in writing by message, so you leave with something you can read again.

When does treatment start on visit one?

For several procedures the answer is “now, if you want it”: no-scalpel vasectomy, laser circumcision, girth filler, triple nerve block and a first ED prescription with response test are all commonly consulted and done on the same visit when the clinic knew in advance and the examination matches what was discussed. For surgical procedures that need results first — BPH surgery after the check-up, implants after a vascular ultrasound — the first visit produces the decision and the procedure follows on a later day of the same trip. What never happens is treatment you did not come for: if something is found that changes the plan, you are told and you decide.

Paying and receipts

Fees are settled at the desk after the visit, in Korean won, at the published figures you were told in the room. An itemised receipt is available on request, in the wording your insurer needs; it is issued to you and only to you, and only if you ask. What follows you home

That evening or the next day, a message from the clinic confirms the plan in writing: what was found, what was recommended, the published price of each item, and any results already available. Laboratory results follow by message when they are ready, explained by the same urologist. If a procedure was done, the same message thread is where healing questions are answered — by the doctor who performed it.
