How do you get from Gimhae Airport to a urologist in Seomyeon?

Two routes. The Busan–Gimhae Light Rail from the airport to Sasang, then Subway Line 2 from Sasang to Seomyeon, takes about 35 to 45 minutes door to platform and costs a few thousand won. A taxi from the airport rank takes about 25 to 45 minutes depending on traffic and is the simplest option with luggage. Either way, Urogyn Men's Clinic is on the seventh floor of the Ion City Building, one minute on foot from Seomyeon Station Exit 7 on Lines 1 and 2.

Seomyeon is the geographic and commercial centre of Busan, which is why the clinic is there and why the journey is short from every direction. The contact page has the map and a Korean address to show a driver; the international patients guide covers the rest of the trip.

Route one: light rail and subway to Seomyeon

• 1 Airport to Sasang — Busan–Gimhae Light Rail. The light rail station is a short covered walk from the domestic and international terminals, signed in English. Buy a single-journey ticket or use a T-money transit card at the machines. Trains run every few minutes; the ride to Sasang is roughly 15 to 20 minutes and every stop is announced in English.
• 2 Sasang — change to Subway Line 2. Follow the Line 2 signs; the transfer is signposted and involves some walking and stairs or escalators. Board toward Seomyeon (the direction of Jangsan). The ride is roughly 15 minutes.
• 3 Seomyeon Station — Exit 7. Seomyeon is a large interchange between Lines 1 and 2. Follow the yellow exit numbers to Exit 7; the section below covers the last minute on foot.

The route needs no Korean: ticket machines, signs and announcements are in English, and a T-money card — sold at the airport convenience store — makes the transfer seamless. It is the route most of our international patients use on arrival and, without luggage, the route almost all use for the return.

Route two: taxi across Busan

Taxis wait at the rank outside arrivals at both terminals, are metered, and accept cards. The journey runs across the Nakdong River and through the west of the city to Seomyeon; outside rush hour it is 25 to 30 minutes, in rush hour up to 45. Show the driver the Korean-language address from the contact page — 부산광역시 부산진구 서면로 74 아이온시티빌딩 — and ask for 서면역 7번 출구 (Seomyeon Station Exit 7) if the building name is not recognised. Ride-hailing apps work at the airport too, and let you enter the address in advance. Taxi is the sensible choice with heavy luggage, with a tight schedule, or after a long-haul flight when the transfer at Sasang is one thing too many.

From Seomyeon Station Exit 7 to the door

Exit 7 brings you up to street level on Seomyeon-ro. The Ion City Building is a one-minute walk — the contact page map shows the direction from the exit — and the clinic is on the seventh floor, unit 702; take the lift to 7F. Seomyeon Station is large and has many exits, so if you surface elsewhere, ask for Exit 7 or use the map; every exit is within a few minutes' walk of the building. At the desk, give your name; if you have booked by message, nothing else needs saying. The first visit guide takes it from there.

Luggage: hotel first, or clinic first?

Hotel first, if you can. Most of our international patients stay within a five-minute walk of the clinic — Seomyeon has hotels at every price — and dropping bags before the visit means you arrive at the desk unencumbered and leave for a quiet room afterwards. If your hotel check-in is later than your appointment, most hotels hold luggage before check-in; if you are visiting Busan for a single day, Seomyeon Station and Busan Station both have coin lockers. Flight timing and a same-day visit

A morning arrival at Gimhae fits a same-day visit comfortably: land, reach Seomyeon within the hour, drop bags, and be at the clinic for a late-morning or early-afternoon slot. The clinic is open Monday to Friday 10:00–18:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00, and same-day treatment — vasectomy, circumcision, girth filler, STD testing — is possible when the clinic knew in advance, as the same-day guide explains. An afternoon arrival fits a consultation and tests the same day and a procedure the next morning. Send your flight number and arrival time in your message; the reply proposes a slot with a realistic margin, and if the flight is late, message from the airport and the slot moves.

Getting back to the airport after a procedure

The same two routes in reverse — and the choice depends on what was done. After a consultation, tests or filler, the light rail is fine the same day. After vasectomy or circumcision, plan at least one night, then a taxi to the airport rather than the transfer at Sasang with its stairs; the ride is short and the seat is yours. After surgery — grafts, lengthening, implants, BPH procedures — the urologist states the nights to plan before flying, and a taxi is the only sensible airport route. Arriving by other routes

Busan Station — the KTX terminus from Seoul — is on Line 1, six stops from Seomyeon, about 15 minutes; the KTX day trip guide covers the timings. Busan's intercity bus terminals connect to Line 1 and Line 2 respectively, and either reaches Seomyeon in under 30 minutes. From anywhere in the city, Seomyeon is the interchange every line passes through — which is the point of the clinic being there.
