Prostate Care · Urogyn Men's Clinic Busan

Prostate & BPH care in Busan , without the catheter.

An enlarged prostate doesn't have to mean major surgery. At Urogyn Seomyeon, a board-certified urologist treats BPH with minimally invasive options — UroLift, Rezum and Progator — that relieve symptoms while preserving sexual function. Plus PSA screening and prostatitis care, explained in English.

Understanding BPH

What an enlarged prostate actually means.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the non-cancerous growth of the prostate that most men experience with age. As the gland enlarges, it presses on the urethra and disrupts the flow of urine — causing a weak stream, frequent trips to the bathroom, and waking at night.

BPH is common and treatable. The goal of modern care is not just to relieve the obstruction, but to do it without damaging ejaculation, erections, or continence — which is why we favour minimally invasive procedures over older resection surgery whenever the case allows.

50%+ of men over 50 develop BPH

Urinating 8+ times a day
Waking at night to urinate
Sudden, hard-to-delay urgency
Bladder never feels empty
Straining or stop-and-start flow
This self-check is informational only and does not replace a medical diagnosis. A urologist confirms BPH with uroflowmetry, a PSA test and an examination.

Why Urogyn for your prostate

Relief without the trade-offs.

No-cut by default

We reach for minimally invasive options — UroLift, Rezum, Progator — before older resection surgery, so most patients avoid cutting and catheters.

Function preserved

Treatments are chosen to protect ejaculation, erections and continence. Symptom relief shouldn't cost you your sex life.

One doctor, in English

The same board-certified urologist handles your consult, procedure and 6-month WhatsApp aftercare — explained directly in English.

Prostate questions

Answered before you ask.

Not always. Many men start with medication. A minimally invasive procedure — UroLift, Rezum or Progator — is considered when medication isn't enough or causes side effects you'd rather avoid. Your doctor reviews your symptoms, uroflow and prostate size before recommending anything.

UroLift and Progator are designed to relieve obstruction while preserving sexual and ejaculatory function. This is a key reason we avoid defaulting to older resection surgery. Your doctor explains the expected effect for your specific case.

PSA rises gradually with age, so there is no single "normal" number. We interpret your PSA together with your age, prostate size and symptoms rather than in isolation. PSA screening at the clinic is ₩150,000.

Most minimally invasive BPH procedures are same-day, and many international patients fly home within a few days. Your doctor gives you a personalized timeline plus 6-month WhatsApp aftercare so you're supported once you return.

UroLift, Rezum and Progator are typically performed under local anesthesia in a short visit — no general anesthesia required for most patients. This keeps recovery fast and lowers risk.

Yes. The board-certified urologist who consults with you is the same doctor who performs your procedure and manages your follow-up — one specialist from start to finish. You are never passed to a junior doctor or a different surgeon.
