Korea vs Thailand vs Turkey for men's surgery: an honest cost check.
Three countries dominate the search results for men who travel for enlargement, circumcision, implants or ED care. This guide compares them the way a urologist would — on who performs the procedure, what the quoted price includes, what follow-up looks like, and what a redo costs — with our Busan Seomyeon clinic's published figures as the fixed point rather than a sales pitch.

Each is answered below, without disparaging any clinic or country — only by naming what to check.
How should Korea, Thailand and Turkey be compared for men's surgery?
Not on the headline number. The honest comparison for men's surgery abroad runs on four lines: who performs the procedure and in what specialty; what the quoted price includes; how follow-up works once you fly home; and what a revision costs if the result disappoints. Korea — and specifically our Busan Seomyeon clinic — is measured here against published figures: girth filler from ₩1,700,000, adult circumcision from ₩800,000, penile implants from ₩8,200,000. Thailand and Turkey are described in ranges, because their prices are rarely published in one place.
All three countries have excellent surgeons and poor ones, and this page does not rank countries. It ranks questions. If a clinic anywhere answers all four well, it is a reasonable choice; if a clinic in Busan cannot, neither is it. The why choose us page sets out how Urogyn answers them.
Who performs the procedure — and does it matter?
It matters more than the price. Enlargement, penile implants, Peyronie's correction and complex circumcision are urological operations on urological anatomy. In Thailand and Turkey much of the medical-tourism market for men's procedures is run through cosmetic and plastic surgery clinics, where a penile filler may be injected by a cosmetic practitioner and an implant placed by a general or plastic surgeon. That is not automatically worse — some are excellent — but the question to ask is specific: is the person operating a board-certified urologist, and how many of exactly this procedure do they do? At Urogyn every procedure on the list is performed by a board-certified urologist — Dr. Moon Hyeon-chang, Dr. Kim Tae-kyung or Dr. Kim Jin-seong — and the doctor who consults with you is the doctor who operates.
What does the quoted price include?
This is where most cross-country comparisons go wrong. A Thai or Turkish package price frequently bundles airport transfer, hotel nights, an interpreter and sometimes a sightseeing day, so the total looks high but the clinical fee inside it is unknown. Conversely, a bare procedure quote from a cosmetic clinic may exclude the anaesthetist, the facility, the consultation and any follow-up visit, so the total grows on the day. Korean clinics that publish lists — ours among them — state a clinical fee per item and leave travel to you, which makes the number smaller and the comparison harder unless you separate the two.
- 1 Separate clinical from travel. Ask any package clinic for the procedure fee alone. If they cannot state it, you cannot compare it.
- 2 List what the clinical fee covers. Consultation, anaesthesia, the procedure, dressings, follow-up. At Urogyn the published figure is the procedure fee; related items — a test, a retouch — are separate published lines, not surprises.
- 3 Add the travel you would actually book. Flights, nights, and — for Busan — very little else: the clinic is one minute from Seomyeon Station, and follow-up is by message. See the visit guide.

Penis Enlargement in Busan
Filler, fat graft and dermal graft with published prices — the girth options most often compared across countries, explained by the urologists who perform them.
Read the enlargement hub →Girth: how do filler and graft prices compare with Busan?
Girth filler is the procedure most aggressively marketed in all three countries. In Thailand, hyaluronic girth filler is commonly sold per cc or per syringe at cosmetic clinics, and the total for a visible change often lands in the range of one to three thousand US dollars in local-currency equivalent; Turkey's market is smaller and quotes vary widely. At Urogyn the figure is fixed and published: ₩1,700,000 for 2–4cc, ₩2,200,000 for a 15cc base with a stated per-cc rate, and fat graft at ₩3,500,000 — with MFDS-approved product and a urologist injecting. The filler page and the enlargement hub explain the options.
Two comparison points beyond price. First, the product: ask any clinic which filler brand and regulatory approval it uses. Second, removal: filler from elsewhere sometimes needs dissolving before further work, and that is a listed ₩1,500,000 item at Urogyn — a cost worth knowing before choosing the cheapest first injection abroad.
Circumcision: what changes between countries?
Adult circumcision is a small procedure with a large range of quality, and the technique matters more than the country. Laser and stapler techniques are both common in Thailand; conventional scalpel circumcision under local anaesthesia is widespread in Turkey, where circumcision is culturally routine and often inexpensive. At Urogyn laser circumcision is published at ₩800,000 basic, ₩1,300,000 volume-up and ₩2,000,000 extension, performed by a urologist in the clinic's own procedure room — the circumcision page covers the three options. The questions that separate a good result from a poor one anywhere are the same: who operates, which technique, and what the scar line looks like in their own photographs of adult patients.
Penile implants: where does the cost really sit, in Busan and abroad?
Implants are the procedure where cross-country differences are largest and the stakes highest. Turkey has built a substantial market in inflatable implants through hospital groups, with all-inclusive packages often quoted in the range of eight to fifteen thousand US dollars; Thailand's implant market is smaller and more variable. At Urogyn a malleable implant is from ₩8,200,000 and an inflatable implant from ₩15,000,000. Those are broadly comparable to the better Turkish packages once travel is separated — which is the point: implant surgery is not a place to shop on price, because the variables that matter are infection rate, device brand, surgeon volume and what happens if the device fails.
A named device with a manufacturer warranty, in writing, before you book.
A board-certified urologist who does implants regularly. Number matters more than country.
What is done to prevent infection, and what a revision costs if the device fails or the result disappoints.
Who answers your message on day nine, and whether it is the surgeon.
What does follow-up from Busan look like, and what does a redo cost?
Follow-up is the line that most often decides whether cheap was cheap. A clinic that sees you once and hands you to a coordinator has no mechanism for the questions that arrive in week two. At Urogyn the urologist who operated answers your messages personally, reviews photographs, and coordinates with a local doctor at home if something needs examining — that is not a premium service; it is the standard. On revision: no clinic anywhere can price away every disappointing result, but a published list makes the cost of correction knowable in advance — filler removal ₩1,500,000, fat graft retouch ₩1,500,000, scar revision assessed and quoted at consult — rather than discovered.
Travel, language and privacy: the non-clinical comparison
Thailand wins on flight connections and tourism infrastructure; Turkey on package convenience for European patients; Korea on proximity for patients from Japan, China, Australia and the United States west coast, and on a healthcare system where English-speaking specialists are common in major cities. For the specific things men's urology patients care about — a doctor who speaks to you directly without an interpreter, a clinic where nothing is said aloud at a counter, and results delivered to you alone — the comparison is clinic by clinic rather than country by country, and the questions above apply in Busan exactly as they do in Bangkok or Istanbul.
How it runs at our Busan Seomyeon clinic — and your next step
If you are comparing quotes, send us yours — with the procedure, the country and what the quote states it includes — along with your travel dates. You will receive a written reply in English with the Urogyn published price for the same procedure, its scope, the operating urologist's name and specialty, and how follow-up works after you fly. That reply is a quote you can set beside the others on equal terms. For every figure on this page, start with the full price list; for the procedure detail, the enlargement, circumcision and ED pages.
- Is Korea safe for men's surgery compared with the other two? All three countries have well-regulated hospital sectors. Safety in men's urology is a clinic-level question — surgeon specialty, infection protocol, follow-up — and the four questions on this page are how you answer it for any clinic.
- I already had a procedure abroad that went wrong. Can Urogyn fix it? Often, yes. Filler removal, scar revision, foreign-body removal and reconstruction are all on our list. Send photographs and the original procedure details; the urologist will tell you honestly what can and cannot be corrected.
The urologists who perform your vasectomy.
Every guide on this site is written and reviewed by the three board-certified urologists below. The doctor who consults with you is the doctor who operates and answers your follow-up — never a junior doctor or a different surgeon.
